Ever notice that your carbon clothing becomes less effective over time? In
less than 20 hours of field use, activated carbon can become inactive; clogged
by
both odor molecules and matter molecules. Carbon clothing manufacturers
recommend heating the carbon to 160
degrees, or hotter, to release the odor. While this practice may result in a
decreased volume of odor molecules, it does
nothing to remove the still present matter molecules trapped inside the carbon.
Over time, this causes the garment to
become progressively less effective and increasingly contaminated.
Until now, there hasn't been a means to both clean the garment and reactivate
the carbon molecule. Dead Down Wind®
introduces Carbon Reactivator™, the first comprehensive carbon suit maintenance
system that completely reactivates the
carbon while cleaning both the garment and the carbon itself.
